Senior Research Associate and Lecturer in International Agriculture Bern University of Applied Sciences, School of Agricultural, Forest and Food Sciences, Switzerland.
Dr. Ingrid Fromm holds a PhD in Development Economics from Leipzig University in Germany and a BSc in Agronomy from Zamorano University in Honduras. Over the past two decades, she has specialized in global food systems and international agricultural value chains, conducting applied research and consultancy work across Latin America, Africa, and Asia.
Dr. Fromm serves as a member of the CGIAR Independent Science for Development Council (ISDC), providing scientific oversight and strategic advice to CGIAR’s global research portfolio. She served as a board member of the Swiss Platform for Sustainable Cocoa (2020–2023), is currently board member of the Swiss Sustainable Coffee Platform, and since 2023 has been a steering committee member of the Swiss Food Research Innovation Group for Cocoa and Chocolate. She is an International Virtual Core member of the NNEdPro Global Institute for Food, Nutrition and Health, helping guide global initiatives that strengthen evidence-based nutrition and food system interventions.
