Zhenshan Yang

Yang, Zhenshan is Full Professor at Institute of Geographical Sciences and Natural Resources Research of Chinese Academy of Sciences and a visiting scholar at the University of Cambridge in the U.K. He obtained his Ph.D (urban planning) from Utrecht University (UU) in the Netherlands. He has published more than 100 peer-reviewed papers in both leading international English and Chinese academic journals. He frequently works as reviewers for over 30 journals in the field of social sciences, geography, urban and regional development. He has been actively serving the World Bank, Asia Development Bank, European Commission, IDRC (Canada), RURF (funded by IDRC, FAO and DGIS), Lincoln Land Use Institute, Natural Science Foundation of China and China National Governments. He is currently interested in investigating human and societal promotion towards sustainable development, including urban agriculture, human capital, green development, shrinking cities, and digital cities.
